Cadbury Saxophone Band is a group of saxophone enthusiasts of varying abilities. Band membership fluctuates, but at present numbers about 20, playing soprano, alto, tenor and baritone saxophones. We are always eager to welcome new players! (There is no audition, but you need to recognize the dots a bit)
Our conductor is Dave James, a well known local musician, saxophonist and teacher.
We meet on roughly alternate Saturday mornings, except during school holidays, normally at Hangstones Pavilion, Stowey Road, Yatton, BS49 4HS between 10:15 and 12:30. However we are unable to use this during the Spring Term 2012 so instead will be meeting at Cleeve Village Hall.
We perform a number of concerts during the year, our repertoire represents a wide variety of music, and Christmas is a particularly busy time. In the summer we play at several outdoor events such as school fetes, and at local bandstands. We very much welcome opportunities to play in new venues - perhaps for you?
