Cadbury Saxophone Band

Go to content

Cadbury Saxophone Band is a group of saxophone enthusiasts of varying abilities. Band membership fluctuates, but at present numbers about 20, playing soprano, alto, tenor and baritone saxophones. We are always eager to welcome new players! (There is no audition, but you need to recognize the dots a bit)

Our conductor is Dave James, a well known local musician, saxophonist and teacher.

We meet on roughly alternate Saturday mornings, except during school holidays, normally at Cleeve Village Hall, Cleeve Hill Road, Cleeve, Bristol, BS49 4PG. See the Rehearsals page for final details of where we will be each term.

We perform a number of concerts during the year, our repertoire represents a wide variety of music, and Christmas is a particularly busy time, where, amongst other places, you can usually hear us at St. Mary's Church in Yatton, St. Andrew's Church in Congresbury, and The Plough Inn in Congresbury. In the summer we play at several outdoor events such as school fetes, and at local bandstands. We very much welcome opportunities to play in new venues - perhaps for you?
