The Year Gone and to Come
We seem to have weathered the crisis over membership numbers and it’s been great to welcome so many new lovely players. (Why is it that saxophone players are such truly wonderful people?) It would be great to go on growing so don’t forget to go on spreading the word about what a super band we have and how it’s all so friendly and such amazing non stop fun and how welcome new members are made to feel – and no, I haven’t been on the sherry.
Have a great Christmas, and a really good 2011.

Another Good Year
No, not an advert for a new type of tyre, just an observation on the last 12 months!
Following our usual hectic festive period, when we raised £369.71 for Caring at Christmas, we had a couple of very successful summer gigs at very sunny Flax Bourton, and Wrington., Importantly we have recruited a number of new players who are very welcome, and as a result rehearsal numbers have held up much better than last year.

April 3rd 2010
We had a very promising gig at Queen's Square, Clevedon on Saturday morning, April 3rd. We got out of bed and the sun was shining for perhaps the first time in days. Unfortunately 20 minutes before we were due to start there was the first hint of rain. As we set up it DID rain and got progressively worse. We managed 2 numbers before having to make a dash for it. What a shame. Apologies to any of our fans and members of the audience who turned up. Feedback from one lady I know was that we sounded good!
